Initial Friday evening overnight to Saturday afternoon Session One at a cabin retreat. 8x following weekly evening sessions from 7.30-9.30pm. Final lunch sharing session with partners. -

We get together and God shows up !
That’s how this men’s group process works. A handful of guys get together with a hunger for God, with openness and honesty and He honours that and shows up every time. The goal of this study is for each of us to find God as Father in a deeper and more real way, and in finding Him, we find the initiation we need.
We need more than a moment, a singular celebration or ritual to take us into manhood. We need a process, a journey, an epic story of many experiences woven together, building upon one experience on another in a progression. We need initiation.
We are not meant to figure out life on our own. God wants to father us. At any point in a boy’s or man’s life the hassles or trials or screwups on our part, is in fact, God giving us experiences to strengthen us, or heal us, or dismantle some unholy attitude in us. In other words to initiate us- a distinctly masculine adventure.
What Can You Expect?
This mentored and facilitated course is based on the highly acclaimed and acknowledged work of John Eldredge and his Ransomed Heart ministry based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Specifically this course involves discovering a masculine heart and on Day 1 explores the issues of posing, resignation,validation, the non-stop battle, and, revisits the Five Languages of Love.
The 2 hourly sessions each week will be spent working through the Boyhood stage, the Cowboy stage, the Warrior stage, the Lover's Stage, the King stage, and, the Sage stage.....exploring what God the Father intended for each of us.
Finally there will be a Completion lunch together with a significant other, to give the opportunity to articulate and share your journey.
Gain understanding
You will be introduced to the core concepts of manhood’s walk with God the Father and explore just how that works out in each of life’s stages.
Practical Application
You will learn how to apply the understanding and discoveries you have learnt into your daily walk with God as an individual, a partner, a husband, a father, a grandparent and also in your work and business life.

Course Facilitator
John D’Almeida
John’s hapu is Ngati Hinerangi. His whanau are from Okauia, Matamata, New Zealand.
John has been a teacher and has also spent thirty years with The Outward Bound Trust in New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong and Australia. John has also been the Director of The Salisbury Street Foundation and has been a board member of the Association of Experiential Education (USA) and Outward Bound International.
John is married to Margarita and they share six wonderful adult tamariki, who along with their partners have eight mokopuna.....at this stage. John and Margarita are currently living in Loburn, Christchurch, NZ where they operate their deer and Suffolk sheep lifestyle block along with an AirBnB.
